Within the framework of the 70th United Nations General Assembly, on 25 September 2015 the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was approved, a text that establishes 17 Goals (SDG) to be achieved and 169 targets within these goals which are binding for 193 countries.
The Agenda itself states, "‘These are universal goals and targets which involve the entire world, developed and developing countries alike. They are integrated and indivisible and balance the three dimensions [social, economic and environmental] of sustainable development’".
All the Sustainable Development Goals revolve around 5 major axes: people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnerships; while possessing a transverse articulating element that cannot be waived: leave no one behind.
At the Fundación Amancio Ortega we assume our role in the challenge and are committed to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in our country. More detailed information can be found in the sections of each of our projects.
