1. Legal information and acceptance.
The following conditions govern the use of the services in the web site (hereinafter, the “Website”) that FUNDACIÓN AMANCIO ORTEGA GAONA (hereinafter, FAO) offers to Internet users. FAO has fiscal residence in Avenida de la Diputacion, s/n, 15143 - Arteixo (A Coruña) and BIN G-15.797.277.
Anyone who accesses the Website shall be considered a user of the Website (hereinafter, the “User”), and this implies acceptance of all conditions stipulated in this Legal Notice. The duration of the Website service provided is limited to the time that the User is connected to the Website or to one of the services offered via the Website. Users should read this Legal Notice carefully every time they propose to use the Website, since the conditions of use in this Legal Notice may be modified.
The purpose of these conditions is to regulate the usage by Users of FAO’s Website, currently located at the URL https://www.faortega.org, notwithstanding which, certain services or contents in the Website may have their own particular conditions, rules or instructions that, in such cases, replace, complement and/or modify this Legal Notice and that must be accepted by the User before use of the corresponding service commences.
Access to and use of the Website by Users is free of charge (except for the network connection costs charged by the provider of the network service as contracted by the User) and generally does not require the User to have registered previously. However, access to and use of certain information and services offered via the Website does require the User to have registered.
In the case of User registrations that involve user names and passwords, these belong exclusively to the User to which they were assigned. Consequently, Users must undertake to not infringe any rights corresponding to intellectual or industrial property, and such property may not be reproduced, in whole or in part, nor publicly communicated, distributed or exploited in any way, without express written consent from FAO. Users must undertake to use such information and services exclusively for their own needs and may not exploit, directly or indirectly, the services to which they gain access nor the results obtained by use of the Website without express written consent from FAO. Users may not use the facilities and functions of the Website to carry out or suggest activities that are prohibited by law, nor to attempt to attract Users towards other, competing services.
All trademarks, trade names and logos are the property or FAO or third parties, and are protected by current applicable legislation on industrial property, and access to the Website confers no rights to these trademarks, trade names and/or logos.
5. Terms and conditions of use.
The User undertakes to use the Website correctly in accordance with the law and this Legal Notice, and shall respond to FAO or third parties for any damages or prejudicial consequences that may be caused by non-compliance with this stipulation.
FAO reserves the right to block access to Users who make unlawful use of the Website or infringe the conditions of this Legal Notice, and may cancel or block, as appropriate, the user name and password of registered Users.
Use of this Website to harm FAO’s property or interests or those of third parties, or that in any other way overload, damage or prevent the use of the networks, servers and other computer equipment (hardware) or computer products and applications (software) belonging to FAO or third parties is expressly forbidden.
Users undertake to use the Contents according to law and to this Legal Notice, and according to any other conditions, regulations and instructions that in some cases may apply under the terms of clause 2. According to current applicable legislation, Users may not, amongst other actions:
- Replicate, copy, distribute, provide, publicly communicate, transform or modify the Contents except in those cases authorised by law or expressly consented to by FAO or by the holder of the exploitation rights, as the case may be.
- Replicate or copy, for personal use, Contents that maybe considered as Software or Databases according to current legislation on intellectual property, nor publicly communicate or provide such items to third parties when this necessarily implies replication by a User or a third party.
- Extract and/or reuse, entirely or substantially, Contents integrated into the Website or databases to which FAO provides access for Users.
5.3 Data collecting forms.
Notwithstanding the provisions of clause 7 of this Legal Notice and the privacy policies accessible via the Website that may be applicable at any time, the use of certain services or requests to FAO required the User to register prior to their use.
All information provided by Users via the data forms in the Website for these or any other purposes must be truthful. In this regard, Users guarantee the authenticity of all data provided, and shall ensure that the data provided to FAO is up to date and always corresponds to the User’s real circumstances. In all cases, the User shall be solely responsible for false or inexact declarations and for any prejudicial consequences caused to FAO or third parties by the data provided.
5.4 Introducing web links in the site.
Internet users who wish to insert links to the Website in their own Internet pages must comply with the conditions set out below. Ignorance of these conditions shall not exempt the User from the corresponding legal responsibilities.

The page in which the link is inserted must comply faithfully with the law, and in no case may include or link to contents of the page owner or third parties that: (i) are illicit, harmful, immoral or contrary to good customs (pornographic, violent, racist, etc.); (ii) induce or may induce Users to falsely believe that FAO subscribes to, agrees with, associates with or in any way supports the page owner’s ideas, declarations or expressions, whether licit or illicit; (iii) are inappropriate to or irrelevant to FAO’s activities in view of the place, contents and subject of the linker’s web page.
6. Exclusion from liability.
6.1 Of the information.
Access to the Website does not imply that FAO has any obligation to ensure that the information provided on the Website is true, precise, well-adapted, suitable, complete or up-to-date. The contents of this Website are of a general nature and in no way constitute the provision of an equestrian sports advisory service, so said information is insufficient for the User to take personal decisions.
FAO accepts no responsibility for decisions taken as a result of the information provided in this Website, nor for damage or prejudicial consequences suffered by Users or third parties as a result of actions based solely on the information obtained from this Website.
6.2 Of the quality of service.
Access to the Website does not imply any obligation by FAO to guarantee the absence of computer viruses, worms or other harmful items. It is the User’s responsibility to use suitable tools for the detection and neutralisation of harmful computer programs.
FAO accepts no responsibility for any damage caused to computer equipment belonging to the User or third parties while providing the Website services.
6.3 Of the availability of the service.
Access to the Website requires third-party services and provisions, including data transport over telecommunications networks, the purposes, quality, continuity and operation of which are not attributable to FAO. Consequently, the services provided on this Website may be interrupted, cancelled or become inaccessible prior to or during the provision of the Website’s services.
FAO accepts no responsibility for damage or prejudicial consequences suffered by Users resulting from faults or disconnection of the telecommunications network and that cause the interruption, cancellation or inaccessibility of the Website’s service while it is being used or prior to its use.
FAO may make modifications to the Website as it deems fit, and may include additional services and contents or remove services or content. FAO may modify the Website whenever it deems appropriate and may block access to all or some of its Users in order to carry out the modifications or repairs that it deems necessary at any moment. In no case shall FAO be held responsible for inadequate operation of the system when this is due to defective configuration of the User’s equipment or this equipment has insufficient capacity to support the computing systems essential in order to use the service.
6.4 Of the contents and services linked from the Web.
The access service to the Website includes technical devices for links, directories and even search engines that allow the User to access other pages and Internet portals (hereinafter, “Linked Sites”). In these cases, FAO acts as an intermediate service provider in the terms of article 17 of Law 34/2002, of the 12th of June, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, and shall only be held responsible for the contents and services provided in the Linked Sites inasmuch as it has effective knowledge of unlawfulness and has not deactivated the link with due diligence.
Should the User consider that a Linked Site contains contents that is illicit, harmful, insulting, violent, immoral or unsuitable, the User may inform FAO, although this communication in no case shall oblige FAO to eliminate the link. In no case shall the existence of a Linked Site imply the existence of agreements with their owners or administrators, nor that FAO recommends, promotes or identifies with the declarations, contents or services provided.'
FAO has no knowledge of the contents and services in the Linked Sites, and consequently, accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by the unlawfulness, lack of quality, obsolescence, unavailability, errors or uselessness of the contents and/or services in the Linked Sites nor for any other damage not directly attributable to FAO.
