In June 2026, the Amancio Ortega Foundation reached an agreement with Carballo City Council to build and equip a new building for social organizations in the municipality and its surrounding area.
The project, to which the Foundation is contributing €7.8 million, will become the new benchmark social and care center for the association network. It will be located on a municipally owned 1,620-square-meter plot on Vázquez de Parga Street in Carballo (A Coruña).
The facilities are designed to host first-class strategic and care services, including a day center for people with Alzheimer’s disease, the Women’s Information Center (CIM), and new facilities for various organizations working in the areas of addiction prevention, social exclusion, and support for people with autism, among other needs. It will also include shared spaces and multi-purpose rooms for local associations.
