iMpulsa

In December 2023, the Amancio Ortega Foundation and Ayuda en Acción started the iMpulsa pilot project in three centres in the province of A Coruña in Galicia.

The pilot project, based on the experience of both foundations in the educational field, involves children in the 5th and 6th grades of Primary Education, young people in the first and second cycles of Secondary Education and Vocational Training students. It's based on a multidisciplinary approach, creating favourable conditions to prevent school failure and early educational dropout.

The project, aimed at motivating educational continuity, will contribute to the life project of students from vulnerable backgrounds, promoting the completion of compulsory schooling.

The initiative will focus on two areas:

  • the transition from Primary to Secondary and the prevention of early school leaving at critical ages.
  • The transition to working life, implementing guidance, training and accompaniment projects for the last years of Compulsory Secondary Education and Vocational Training.
